Quick Weight Loss Tips

Short cuts and quick tips are often sought by those who need to lose weight fast but are lacking in motivation or simple will power to get on and do it for themselves.

While the last post here looked at some of the useful foods that you can include in your diet to help you shift some of the excess fat by simply eating, here we'll look at some of the ways in which you can shed several pound reasonably fast without doing any damage.

There are many very fast ways to lose weight, but a lot of them involve dangerous surgical procedures which is really not part of the scope of this website, which concentrates on the many easy ways to burn fat and get in shape that are both natural and safe. But that doesn't mean you still cannot lose weight fast when you put your mind to it.

It also helps to have some handy quick ways to lose weight to hand just to ensure you are in no doubt as to what it is you are going to do. So go ahead and give these a try, if you like:

Tips for Faster Slimming

  1. Every morning before you get out of bed, spend two minutes stretching
  2. When you get up, drink a full glass of plain water
  3. Before you have breakfast, go for a 30 minute or longer fast walk or run
  4. Eat a filling breakfast but no fried food allowed! Instead go for muesli, porridge, fresh fruit etc
  5. During the day, no slouching around on the sofa, stay as active as possible
  6. Eat small meals more often rather than one or two big meals
  7. Include plenty of vegetables in your meals and eat fruit afterwards. No cakes or puddings!
  8. Drink two litres (8 glasses) of plain water a day
  9. In the evening, go for another 30 minute or longer fast walk or run before your evening meal
  10. Do not eat close to bed time. A two hour gap is good, longer is better
  11. Make sure you're completely relaxed when you go to bed, so that you sleep well

These few quick tips are very basic and easy to stick to. They are not the whole story, but will help you get into a kind of routine that will improve your metabolic rate and ensure you get plenty of exercise every day. It only has to be light exercise by the way. Going to the gym a few times in the week will of course be even more beneficial, but not everybody can do that.

But everybody that has the ability to walk can certainly go for a 30 minute or longer walk twice a day. This is so important for getting your muscles moving, your heart pumping harder and raising your body temperature.

Do this for long enough (in excess of twenty minutes) and the body begins to burn the sugars stored in the fat cells to fuel those muscles. You don't have to go mad, just get some sensible, easy to do daily exercise like this into your life and you will surprise yourself.

Knowing What to Avoid

You may have noticed that I left out the obvious no brainer stuff, like avoiding sweets, chocolate, cakes, biscuits, pizzas, burgers, potato chips, fries and all the fattening foods that will simply nullify all of your efforts to lose weight fast. That doesn't mean you can have any of them, by the way!

Another of the highly important quick weight loss tips is to get your head into the right frame of thinking, meaning not just being positive about wanting to get in shape, but actually visualising yourself being the weight you want to be at.

You need to set aside some quality time to do this. Twenty to thirty minutes is plenty, where you can be quiet, uninterrupted and simply relax while you imagine yourself actually walking around at your perfect weight.

This is such a powerful technique that anyone can do and it really does work. The more you do it and get into that feeling place of being at your ideal weight and body size, the faster you'll achieve it.

Great tips you've got here. I only have a problem with your quick weight loss tip no 10: I just can't go to bed on an empty stomach. I tried, but I can't fall asleep if I don't get up to eat something. Then I can kiss my weight loss good bye.

I really feel that drinking sufficient water, eating low carb food and exercising for burning calories is the best ever and simplest weight loss program. This would surely help anyone and you need to make these habits permanent to sustain the level of health and fitness.

Hey, this is just what I needed to read on the subject. Sometimes I feel like I really must eat something just before going to bed. I know it makes sense to either avoid doing that or if I can't to eat something very low in calories.

Usually I try to do good with salad, vegetables or low calorie snacks. I also try just having a drink of water as often as possible.

I don't know why people think its difficult to loose weight. Why everybody is trying new and new products. You need to do some basic plan and changes in your daily routine in order to loose weight. By the way your tips are helpful and good. Thank you.

Adding to your idea about drinking water... you should drink 16 ounces before every meal. Because studies have shown that by doing this you will consume 15% fewer calories at that meal.

This can save hundreds of calories a day... or tens of thousands of calories over the course of a month.

That is an effective way to rapidly yet safely lose weight.
